A little closer to wine countryNapa Valley, California

The weekend plan

Two days.
Your kind of Napa.

A flexible first day, then one carefully chosen part of the valley.

By Napa Wine Tour · Checked September 24, 2026

Day one: Napa and Yountville

If you arrive that morning: start with a flexible meal at Oxbow Public Market and time to settle into your accommodation. Do not tie your arrival to a non-refundable early tasting.

If you already stayed overnight: choose a confirmed CHANDON experience, then a lunch reservation in Yountville. Bouchon Bistro is one option to consider. Allow travel time and a buffer between the two.

Keep the late afternoon open for the town and finish near your accommodation. The arrival-day and full-day plans are alternatives, not a checklist to combine.

Day two: choose one direction

Option A · Central valley

Rutherford & St. Helena

Build the day around a Frog’s Leap appointment. Consider Rutherford Grill for a meal, then leave time to explore St. Helena or return to your base. A second tasting is optional, not the default.

Option B · Northern valley

Calistoga

Choose a Sterling experience and allow time for the gondola journey. Keep your meal around Calistoga; Solbar is one possibility. Add spa time only if you have a separate confirmed reservation and enough time.

Adapt it before you reserve

  • Use the actual length of each experience; no appointment times in this plan are confirmed.
  • If you leave for an airport on day two, shorten the plan instead of adding a rushed final tasting.
  • Arrange sober transportation for every tasting day.
  • Set separate budgets for accommodation, meals and experiences.
